In Orzano, in the heart of Friuli's Grave region, a flat stretch of land embraced by two streams holds three generations of history. This is where Vigne del Malina was born — a winery that interprets Friulian wine with patience: slow aging, organic farming. Just time, land, and care. Since 2024, the winery has opened its doors to hospitality, developing the project in several stages. The first breathed new life into the ground-floor osteria, now warmer and more contemporary, alongside a tasting room built around a single large table seating up to 20 — perfect for private events too. The second stage brought the guest accommodations: six double rooms on the first floor, each with its own character and private bathroom, an independent apartment with outdoor access, and a ground-floor room with private parking and terrace. The final phase connected the ground-floor spaces with a new veranda, opening visually onto the courtyard's new outdoor lounge. The result is a large country house — a fluid space designed so guests can move freely and truly feel at home.
Oiled oak wood, grey stone, and linen fabrics speak of gentleness and respect for nature, but the countryside remains the true protagonist, with a picture-perfect view from every window. The rooms feature exposed beam ceilings, each painted a different color, and custom built-in wardrobes; the bathrooms, each slightly different, share handmade-style white tiles and brushed steel fixtures. Light itself becomes a tool for atmosphere, with separate lighting channels letting each guest set the mood they prefer.
Great care went into the outdoor spaces too: the first-floor loggia, with its perforated brick screen echoing local rural architecture, offers an intimate corner perfect for a sunset drink. In the inner courtyard, the new outdoor lounge unfolds among custom corten steel planters made by local artisans, sage-green garden furniture, and three large tilting umbrellas that follow the sun, giving guests privacy and calm.
